Hackers Remotely Shut Down a Jeep on the Highway - With Me in It

WIRED security reporter Andy Greenberg and I traveled to St. Louis to make this short piece that documented the work of security researchers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek who found vulnerabilities in Jeep's wireless infotainment system that gave them access to the vehicle's steering, radio, engine and brakes.

After our package was published more than a million cars were recalled for a software patch. Miller and Valasek were hired by the car hailing service Uber.
