Autism and Animation

I inherited this video project from my fellow NYT video journalist Kassie Bracken a few months ago. She shot much of it and I edited most of the video. It's 11 minutes long, which is a long web video but it's worth every minute, as is reading Amy Harmon's strong piece about the same young man, Justin Canha.

Justin is a creative, animation obsessed 22-year-old (he was 20 when Kassie and Amy started following him) who is autistic. He's in the last year of a transition program designed to ready him for independent living when we meet him in the video.
